Dear Community Partners

I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to remind you all that The Education Academy is here to service your special needs students who may have suffered a decline socially and emotionally. This decline is now affecting their ability to optimally receive their academics. The frustrations turn into feelings of helplessness and anger and preclude these young people from moving forward.

The Education Academy was created to service students who need specially designed instruction and activities that build better students and productive citizens. Our programs collectively teach perseverance without frustration, integrity without excessive rules and consequences, and above all a strong work ethic through modeling by a seasoned fully certified staff. The result is a student who demonstrates self-awareness and self-management.

The five main components of social-emotional learning are continuously addressed throughout all aspects of an Education Academy’s student’s day:

  • Self-Awareness
  • Self-Management
  • Relationship Skills
  • Social Awareness
  • Responsible Decision Making

We have spaces available within all the grade levels we service, Pre-K through Eighth. We also have spaces available in our Transition Plus + Program which debuted last school year and has been well-received and successful for those students who needed additional assistance before entering High School.

We all have worked together so well these past years with all that had been expected of us to keep our children safe, healthy, and moving forward with their educational and social-emotional goals. Looking forward to continuing our teamwork and helping our shared families and students achieve their goals.

Respectfully,

Linda A. Phillips
